Case Study

Jarden

Jarden needed to digitise its risk and compliance learning to ensure all employees are working within their strict regulations.

About our Client

Jarden is a leading investment and advisory firm providing a range of financial services including wealth management, investment banking, and research. With a team of over 250 professionals, Jarden has been serving clients for more than 60 years, offering expert advice and support to help them achieve their financial goals.

Their Brief

Jarden operates in a highly regulated environment, and must therefore ensure that all employees are aware of, and operate within, the regulations.  The existing regulatory training was delivered one-to-one using a PowerPoint presentation, supported by a Compliance Manual.

As a result of ongoing growth, Jarden was looking to digitise their risk and compliance learning, and be able to provide evidence of that learning.

It was important to Jarden that this learning solution delivered a great user experience, made efficient use of Advisers’ time and could be used for new and existing employees.  It also needed to be trackable and reportable as well as scalable to support ongoing growth of the firm.

Our Role

We started by working closely with the Jarden team to structure the risk and compliance content into several discrete modules and define learning objectives.

From there we designed two key components for each module: principles and key points of the requirement or legislation and scenarios to ensure that Jarden’s people could apply the principles in a range of situations.  We developed these scenarios in consultation with Jarden experts to ensure that typical situations were included, as well as any situations that have occurred, or were a high-risk area.

As Jarden were in the process of selecting a new LMS, we ensured the learning solution had an interim method of tracking and reporting so that they could easily see who had completed the module until the LMS was in place.

Their Results

Jarden now has:

  • robust evidence of regulatory training
  • re-usable and scalable digital learning to replace one-to-one presentations
  • multi-purpose regulatory training: induction and refreshers for existing employees
  • future-proofed learning through easily edited modules, ensuring the content is kept fresh and relevant
