The 2022 launch of The Path, the capability framework for HR professionals in Aotearoa, introduced the core capability Knowledge of Te Ao Māori.
In demonstrating capability around bicultural practice, HR professionals not only uphold te tiriti, but create a space for everyone to thrive - the mark of a skilled professional.
Following the release of the capability framework, Knowledge of Te Ao Māori was clearly identified both as a professional development need and as a core capability that many HR professionals struggled to demonstrate at high levels in their Chartered Membership application.
HRNZ wanted an insightful, innovative digital resource to support practitioners with their professional development in bicultural HR management as well as providing chartering applicants with examples of the type of behaviours they need to demonstrate for Chartered Membership.
